About Virginia ACDA
The American Choral Directors Association was founded in 1959 to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching. The Virginia chapter carries forward this mission by supporting choir directors across the Commonwealth.
ACDA's twelve organizational purposes focus on fostering and promoting choral singing, encouraging high standards of music education, and building community among choral professionals.
